Cancellation policy

*If the cancellation occurs due to consequences caused by the spread of corona virus COVID 19, provisions of this policy do not apply, but the Lessor has the right to retain a non-refundable deposit (specified in the agreement), while the rest of the price will be refunded to the Lessee. If for any reason the Lessor has to cancel a booking, a full refund will be given to the Lessee.


In case of changed circumstances, before the cancellation of the agreed lease, the contracting parties are obliged to try to jointly determine another appropriate term.

If such is not possible, the Lessee is responsible to pay cancellation fees as follows:
  • Cancel 40 days prior to arrival – 100 percent of the full booking fee is due to the Lessor;
  • Cancel 50 days prior to arrival – 80 percent of the full booking fee is due to the Lessor;
  • Cancel 60 days prior to arrival – 60 percent of the full booking fee is due to the Lessor.

The cancellation policy applies to all reasons for cancellation. The Lessor is not responsible for any forces of nature that may cause the Lessee to cancel. Also, holiday insurance is recommended.

Terms & Conditions

To secure a group booking at Ashuma, we require a non refundable booking deposit of €500. This can be paid by bank transfer (if money is transferred internationally, fees may apply). Money can be paid by credit card, but a 3% fee applies.
On arrival, we require a refundable security deposit of €1000. On departure, the accommodation and center must be left in the same condition as it was found. Otherwise, the security deposit will be charged for any additional cleaning fees or breakages.
Hirer is responsible for behaviour of their guests at all times.
Teachers and facilitators must send a copy of their professional insurance policy to accompany booking deposit. Ashuma is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to any property of guests.
Those travelling on retreat are advised to take out holiday insurance.
