6 days Enlightenment Intensive Retreat

with Peter (The Drunken Monk)
“Who am I? What is my true nature?”

"Above the clouds of the mind, there is a clear blue sky.
I will meet you there...."

About
The Enlightenment Intensive is a unique group retreat
enabling a spiritual enlightenment experience (satori) within a relatively short time.

It is a ‘stand-alone’ process outside any organisation or religion, yet it uses a combination of the most efficient tools from traditions such as zen, mindfulness and modern communication techniques.

This fascinating process cracks open the thinking and emotional patterns that mask your True Self and allows your essential nature to be revealed and blossom.
How does it work
  • During the intensive process, you will be placed in a completely safe environment with no distractions and in social silence. The core of the work will be self enquiry sessions called Dyads: a profound zen contemplation of the question ‘Who am I?’.
  • The program also includes numerous holistic techniques, such as guided meditations, conscious movement, working/walking contemplation and holistic detox.
  • After three days of the intensive process, you will have an opportunity to integrate and enjoy the afterglow of your experience through relaxation, movement sessions and sauna while connecting to the stunning nature around.
Where you will live
Each of our tents has a private entrance and its own outdoor space. Tents are fully equipped with authentic teak furniture combined with Siberian larch flooring. Bathroom are attached and are equipped with all necessary facilities.
What you will eat
You'll indulge in delicious and nutritious vegetarian cuisine. We employ interesting cooking methods like sous-vide and the making of raw desserts to preserve the maximum nutritional value of the ingredients. Treat yourself to healthy and flavourful meals in the cosy ambience of our retreat centre.

MEALS will be DETOX food and served as a mix of plated and buffet as following:
light detox food: arrival (day1), integration (day 5) and departure day (day 6) buffet / Intensive process (days 2,3,4) plated food

PRACTICALITIES
  • Food
On the arrival day, the first meal will be dinner. During the intensive process (day 2,3,4) you will be served with plated detox meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner + tea breaks & snacks), to support a natural cleanse of your physical body. For the remaining days there will be a vegetarian buffet (breakfast, lunch, dinner and a 1 little tea break). The last meal is a breakfast on the departure day. There will be no coffee, black tea, sugar, alcohol, meat or fish. If you drink a lot of coffee it is highly recommended that you stop for two or three days before the Intensive starts. Otherwise, you may find that you have a caffeine withdrawal headache during the group. If you follow a special diet, please let us know when you register.
  • Smoking

It is recommend stopping to smoke during the process. If you do smoke, cutting down to 3 a day would make it easier to spend a few days without tobacco. If you feel that you cannot manage this then we can find a balance that you are comfortable with.
  • Mobile Phones
You will be asked to surrender your mobile phone for the three days of the Intensive. During the process, unless in an emergency, there will be no contact to the outside world so please make sure your affairs are in order before we start.
  • Silence
The three day Intensive process part will be held in social silence. You will be talking during the Dyads and open sessions but will be in silence when outside the group space. Being in silence also means you will not have access to the Internet, phones, TV, radio or any distractions that take you away from your contemplation.
  • Open heart and mind
This process is intense and has been carefully structured to work deeply and with lasting changes. It is challenging yet the rewards are reflected in the changes that may occur with a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you.
What is a Dyad?
  • The core of the process are enquiry sessions called Dyads that facilitate a physical, mental and spiritual detox. Dyads are enquiry sessions that are held with two people. One listening in stillness, the other communicating their direct experience of this moment in response to the question ‘Who am I?’ After five minutes the roles change.

This is repeated for thirty or forty minutes and is followed by a break. You will start the next Dyad with a new partner. Each Dyad clears the mind of mundane chit-chat and gives space for your authentic Self to be revealed. After a while the grip of the mind loosens as you move deeper into the direct experience of your Essence. Eventually, there is a moment where the mind becomes completely still. This creates a profound shift in your state of being – in the traditional practice of Zen, this is known as a Satori … A glimpse of enlightenment.

    Ašuma silent retreat
This place, set in Lovcen National Park, is amazing. I could tell that there was a lot of thought and care put into creating it. I joined a silent retreat and it was just perfect. Accommodation is 5star glamping…all the way down to a plush robe and slippers! Food is delicious and the lounge area is comfy and peaceful. I'm ready to return! Highly recommend.

    Ašuma yoga escapes
Such an amazing place! The location is so quiet and surrounded by green, all you can hear is birds. The tents are wonderful and attention has been paid to every detail - I loved sleeping practically outside but still in a comfortable bed. Food was also healthy, local and delicious. My retreat was only for two nights but I would have happily stayed another week. Can't wait to return.

We have an amazing experience in Ashuma right now. From the very first day being here is like to be in a fairy-tale: very special place, where natural beauty is connected with lovingly created man made space. Even the smallest details are so well thought, convenient, and ful of soothing positive energy. Tents are lovely to stay, and all other spots (yoga hall, dining area, chill out gathering space etc.) are planned and made with lots of love. Nice to touch, beautiful to see, pleasure to be. And last, but not least is a group of people who make all of this work. Their work is impeccable, they are always here for you in a very genuine, kind and delicate way! Guy, you are truly amazing! Thank you for everything you do.
